Rs.10, 000mn to develop infrastructure for DeyataKirula

 

Rs. 10,000 million has been allocated to develop infrastructure facilities at the two DeyataKirula exhibition grounds in Matara, DeyataKirula exhibition committee secretary GotabhayaJayaratna said.

He said Kamburugamuwa and Lebeemakotawilawatta will be converted to well develop new towns. Common amenities will be provided to Wellamadama. A three storied classroom and a two storied hostel will be set up at Mahinda Rajapaksa Vidyalaya, Wellamadama, Jayaratna said.

Among the other development activities are the setting up of a multi-storied administration complex, two six storied buildings at Kotawawatta Hospital, a nurses training college and setting up of two residential quarters for doctors.

All state institutions in Matara will be relocated at the administration complex that will be set up at Kotawilawatta to ease traffic congestion in Matara.

Officials of around 50 Ministries will launch several projects for the benefit of the people, the secretary said. He said a new bus stand will be constructed while two railway stations will be renovated under the DeyataKirula program.
