Bhutan Health Minister meets SL counterpart

 

The Health Minister of Bhutan has spoken of the vast development in Sri Lanka’s health sector. He said it is a fitting example for the countries in the Asian region.

Bhutan’s Health Minister Tandin Wangchuk met Minister Maithripala Sirisena at the Health Ministry.

Attention to soliciting Sri Lanka’s health service for the promotion of the health sector in Bhutan was focused during the discussions held to consolidate friendship between the two countries. More than 150 students from Bhutan are receiving residential training on the island.

The Bhutanese Minister expressed his thanks for the facilities granted to them. He appreciated the progress achieved by Sri Lanka since ending the conflict. Minister Tandin Wangchuk pointed out that Sri Lanka’s achievements in the health sector are a model for Asian countries.
