President opens two Mahindodaya Labs in Moneragala

 

President Mahinda Rajapaksa declared open two Mahindodaya Technological Laboratories in Moneragala yesterday (Aug. 31).

Accordingly, the Mahindodaya Technological Laboratory established at Bakinigahawela Muslim Central College in Moneragala was vested with the students under the patronage of the President yesterday.

The president was warmly welcomed by the Muslim children and the teachers of the school.

The President after unveiling the plaque at the laboratory said that the Government understanding very well the value of education, has paid attention on imparting education to all the children of the community irrespective of their ethnic or religious differences. A large number of Muslim people were present at the event.

President Rajapaksa then vested with the students the Mahindodaya Technological Laboratory established at the Moneragala Obbegoda Central College.

The President also had cordial discussions with the parents and the people of the area who had gathered near the school.

A total of 88 Mahindodaya laboratories have been constructed in the Uva Province under the countrywide programme.
