Sri Lanka donates tea to earthquake victims in China

The Government of Sri Lanka has donated a consignment of Ceylon black tea to the victims of the recent earthquake in Yunnan Province, China.

It may be recalled that President Mahinda Rajapaksa sent a condolence message to Chinese President Xi Jinping in the immediate aftermath of the earthquake.

The consignment of tea was handed over to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Beijing recently by the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to China, Ranjith Uyangoda to be distributed among the victims of the earthquake in Yunnan Province.
