Sri Lanka wins Asian Games Cricket Gold Medal


Sri Lanka won the Asian games Gold Medal for cricket beating Afghanistan by 68 runs at Incheon in South Korea today (October 3). While Sri Lanka scored 133 all out in 19.1 overs, the Afghan team was bundled out for 65 runs in 17.3 overs.

Skipper, Lahiru Thirimanne scored 57 in 37 balls and Dinesh Chandimal scored 33 in 27 balls. Ajantha Mendis captured 3 wickets.

Loosing side, Afghanistan got the Silver Medal and Bangladesh won the Bronze, after beating Hong Kong.
