Mauritania’s President arrives today

 

President of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz will arrive in the country today on a two day official visit.

“During President Abdel Aziz’s visit, two bilateral agreements will be signed between Mauritania and Sri Lanka on establishing a joint commission on cooperation and an agreement on political bilateral consultation, Director General of the Public Communication Unit of the External Affairs Ministry,” A.M.J. Saddique said.

President Abdel Aziz will also call on President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The two agreements will be signed by External Affairs Minister G.L. Peiris and the Foreign Minister of Mauritania in the presence of the two Presidents.

External Affairs Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris and the Foreign Minister of Mauritania are also expected to hold lengthy talks on issues of interest to both the countries.
