Former Malaysian PM to open development projects

 

Former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dr Mahathir Mohamad is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka for the inauguration of two development projects.

He will launch the Residential Development Project in the proposed new city of Hambantota today, December 9 and the Mixed Development Project in the Katunayake Export Processing Zone (KEPZ) on Wednesday, December 10.

Hambantota District parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, Group Executive Chairman of The Maju Group of Companies of Malaysia Tan Sri Abu Sahid Mohamed, and Director of Quest Ventures Dato Patrick Lim will also be present at the Hambantota event.

Minister of Investment Promotion Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena, Chairman of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka Dr. Lakshman Jayaweera and roup Executive Chairman of The Maju Group of Companies of Malaysia Tan Sri Abu Sahid Mohamed, are expected to take part at Wednesday's project launch at Katunayake.
