President looks into Polonnaruwa Flood victims needs


President Mahinda Rajapaksa visited Polonnaruwa to look into the welfare of the people affected by recent floods.

The President made a sudden visit to Lankapura Divisional Secretariat area of the Polonnaruwa District on January 03 to look in to the needs of flood affected people.

The President while walking and exchanging views with the people at Kirimetiya-Valley Ela village provided immediate solutions to the problems faced by them. He directed the officials to take immediate measures to remove all illegal constructions at Vaan-ela forest reserve.

Deputy Ministers Siripala Gamlath, Chandrasiri Suriya-arachchi and Parliamentarian Roshan Ranasinghe were present on the occasion.
