Addressing the gathering President Sirisena said he treats all the children in the country as his own and is committed to fulfill all the duties for the benefit of children.

He pledged his fullest cooperation to uplift the education in North Central Province which records a lowest level in the country.

With many bitter and challenging experiences people in this country gave the leadership to me, the President said adding this government has accepted these challenges and has taken many initiatives towards many changes.

President pointed out that his firm determination to face challenges made him the best student in Polonnaruwa Royal College. Children from younger age should be trained and equipped to take risks in life and face them with courage.
