President Maithripala Sirisena Friday chaired a special progress review meeting at the Presidential Secretariat.
The meeting was held to review the progress on the implementation of the government's 100-Days Programme and resource allocation and to receive the feedback from the senior government officials.
Addressing the meeting, the President said the 100-day programme is not a policy of merely a political front but a national policy and the main objective of the programme is to grant relief to the people.
He said the government expects to increase the income of the masses and to enhance their livelihood and stressed that all parties and individuals should support this programme to make a success within a democratic frame work without violating human rights.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe, Secretary to the President P.B. Abeykoon, Secretary to the Prime Minister Saman Ekanayake, Secretary to the Cabinet Sumith Abeysinghe, Secretary to the Treasury Dr. R.H.S. Samaratunge, Chairman of the 100- day Program Implementation Committee Charitha Ratwatte and other senior officials were present.
