Country’s agenda is most important – President

President Maithripala Sirisena said the agenda of the country is more important than any political agenda. He said it should be decided whether we should be divided for power or united to build the country.

The President was speaking at the opening of Magampura Ruhunu Uruma Museum today (May 9).

The President pointed out that it is disastrous for a country to be divided. Dividing the people of a country for whatever reason will not be beneficial for to it.

President Sirisena stated support of the two major political parties as well as other political parties is necessary to build the country.

‘It is a requirement of a country that people of all faiths and speak in different languages should work together’ the President said.

Everybody should be united and work together to save the people from poverty, the President further stated.
