Sri Lanka win first Test

Sri Lanka won the first Test against India by 10 wickets. This was their second Test triumph in twenty Tests against India.

A fine display of bowling by Muttaih Muralitharan limited the Indian second innings to 180 runs today.

Sri Lankan captain Sanath Jayasuriya was declared the ‘Man of the Match.’
