The redeveloped Bogambara Stadium in Kandy is all set to host the Singer-Sri Lankan Airlines International Rugby Sevens from 14th to 16th September. The hill capital’s premier rugby venue has been renovated at a cost of seven million rupees under stage two of its three-phase development plan. The Minister of Tourism and Sports Lakshman Kiriella will open the new players’ dressing rooms and newly built international class media enclosure on the opening day of the tournament. China, Japan and Thailand are among the fifteen teams due in Sri Lanka for the tournament.
