An Australian professional fitness trainer and qualified sports scientist, Jason Matthew Withford arrived in Sri Lanka to train Sri Lanka’s National Seven-a-Side and Junior International Rugby Team, Monday. Withford has signed a one-year contract with the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union to train Sri Lankan players for their upcoming overseas tours. He will take charge of the Sri Lanka team for the Bangkok Sevens and will also coach the Sri Lanka Juniors for the Junior Rugby Asiad in Japan in December. Withford has trained international rugby players like the Wallabies – Matte Burke, Scott Stainforth, Rod Moore, Bill Young, Travis Hall, Sam Cordingly, Daniel Manu, Graeme Bond and Japanese Captain – Daisuke Harata.
