Sri Lanka moved up to the third slot in the ICC Test Championship Table. Sri Lanka had pulled clear of England to claim the third position in the ICC test ratings after the third and final test between India and England ended last Thursday in draw giving India a 1-0 series victory over England in the three match series. Before England’s loss Sri Lanka and England were tied for the third spot but Sri Lanka’s 3-0 white–wash of West Indies and England’s loss changed the equation despite the Englishmen defeating Lankans 2-1 in Sri Lanka last year. Australia continue to have a firm grip of the top slot and the outcome of the current series between Australia and South Africa could decide who holds the top slot at the year end ranking.
