[December 22, 2001 - 10:00 GMT]

The ICC Match Referee for the Sri Lanka-West Indies Test series, Raman Subba Row has congratulated the excellent tour arrangements of the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka (BCCSL) for the series.

Subba Row particularly praised “the provision of excellent facilities and management” at the Asgiriya, Galle and SSC grounds.

“I only write when I feel that there is a need to do so, and three out of three (grounds played on) is a record for me” Subba Row said.

“Once gain the match arrangements have been extremely good in almost every respect, so that it is a pleasure to record the ICC’s satisfaction and to thank you for all your efforts and those of your staff. Very well done’, he added. He stated that the BCCSL tour arrangement is worthy of being emulated by some other cricket-playing nations.
