Matara born fast bowler Prabath Nissanka[21] who made his ODI debut in Sharjah in October and played in one game during the recently completed LG Abans tri-series. Nissanka replaces fast bowling all-rounder Suresh Perera. Nissanka and Charitha Buddika will compete for the third fast bowler’s slot, but Buddika, who made his Test debut against West Indies in Galle, remains the leading contender with his recent good form and greater reliability. The test series Lanka vs Zimbabwe will commence on Thursday at the SSC grounds. The winners of the three match series will receive 7500 US dollars from the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka and secure the Janashakthi National Trophy.
