The 25-year old left-hander became the second Sri Lankan wicket keeper to achieve the feat of scoring a double hundred following Brendon Kuruppu’s 201 against New Zealand on debut in 1986/87. He missed beating the highest score by a wicket keeper in Test cricket by just three runs, failing short of the 232, scored by Andy Flower last year.
